The Ringleader's Reward

A celebratory group gathered together, glasses raised.

You gather the people. I handle everything underneath. And when you fill the trip, you often travel as my guest. Here’s how that actually works.

Every friend group has one. Every family has one. The person who books the house before anyone else has committed. Who starts the group chat, floats the dates, absorbs the “wait, can we do the week after?” — and somehow, against all odds, gets everyone in the same place at the same time.

If you just felt a flicker of that’s me — this one’s for you.

Because here’s the quiet injustice of being that person: you do all the work, and you’re often the only one who doesn’t get to fully enjoy the trip. You’re the one on hold with the airline, chasing the deposit, refereeing ten different definitions of “nice.” You arrive already exhausted. You leave having managed a vacation instead of taken one.

It doesn’t have to work that way. There’s a version where you keep the part you’re good at — gathering your people — and hand every other part to someone who does this for a living.

What you actually hand off

You bring two things: the people, and the occasion. That’s it.

I take everything underneath. The itinerary. The hotels and the hard-to-get tables. The flights, the transfers, the insurance. The contracts with the ship or the resort. And — the part that quietly ruins more group trips than anything else — the money. No shared spreadsheet nobody updates. No Venmo requests you have to send twice. Everyone books through me, pays their own way, and you never have to be the person asking your cousin for four hundred dollars again.

Your people show up to a trip that already works. You show up as the one who made it happen — with your evenings back.

The reward, honestly

Here’s the part most people don’t know: when you’re the one filling a trip, the travel industry has a long tradition of rewarding you for it.

Most cruise lines, and many hotels and tour operators, give the group organizer something real once the group reaches a certain size — sometimes a reduced fare, sometimes your own place on the trip comped entirely. The exact threshold and the exact reward depend on the supplier and the trip, which is precisely why it’s a conversation and not a coupon. But the principle is steady: the person who brings everyone shouldn’t be the only one without a seat at the table.

I’ll always tell you plainly what a given trip’s math looks like before you lift a finger. No surprises, no fine print you have to squint at.

Who this is for

The landmark birthday that deserves more than a dinner. The family that wants three generations in one place while everyone still can. The college friends marking twenty years. The vow renewal, the graduation, the reunion that’s been “we should really do that” for a decade. Or simply a group that travels well together and wants to do it somewhere extraordinary.

If you can picture the people, I can build the trip around them.

Why hand it to me

Because I’m a traveling travel advisor — in motion, in the field, in the supplier circles you can’t reach through a search bar. I sit across the table from the people who run these ships and lodges. When something needs fixing mid-trip, I know whose desk to go to. And when it’s your trip, the only job I want you to have is the one you’re already the best at: being the reason everyone came.
