A handful of departures a year, I book my own place on. Not as a tour leader, and not as the company running the trip — the operator does that, and does it well. I’m your advisor before you go, and a fellow passenger once we’re there. The trips below are the ones with room now. There will always be one or two.
What “travel with me” means
The operator runs the trip. I’m the advisor who chose it — and I’m coming too.
These aren't tours I operate. Each one is a departure on a line I trust — the cruise line or operator runs it, with their own crew, guides and plans. I'm your advisor before you go, and once we're there I'm a fellow passenger with my own cabin, at the same tables as you.
- An operator chosen on purpose. I only put my name behind a departure on a line I'd book for myself — the people who run that route every week of the season.
- One advisor for the whole booking. Your cabin, flights, the nights on either side and the insurance conversation — handled before you go, and still mine to answer after you're home.
- Good company. A small circle who said yes to the same trip — and me among them, as a traveler, not a tour leader.
